IMPORTANT CHANGE REGARDING THE METHODIST CHURCH CAR PARK

PLEASE NOTE:

– FROM 1ST MARCH 2010 USE OF THE METHODIST CHURCH CAR PARK WILL BE RESTRICTED AT ALL TIMES  TO THOSE HIRING THE CHURCH PREMISES OR ATTENDING AN EVENT/ MEETING AT THE CHURCH.

Concerns have been expressed by worried Atwood parents about the safety of the Methodist Church Car Park.   These concerns are shared by those who hire our premises and by church members. 
Too many cars are using the car park to allow it to be safe, and the congestion has led to near misses involving adults and children both within the car park and at the exit.   Damage has also been caused to grassed areas and flower beds by thoughtless parking.   

Consultation between the school, church users, and the church has led to the following decision:

From 1st March 2010 use of the Methodist Church Car Park will be restricted to those hiring the church premises or attending a meeting or event at the church.  

From that date, therefore, there will be no parking spaces available for Atwood parents at any time.

We ask you to respect this decision.

Please remember that you may park in the Waitrose car park and walk down to school with your children.
